THANK YOU for supporting our Red Bank CROP Hunger Walk! – Once again, the FPC Matawan walk team including our Youth Group raised $6,648.63 (as of Walk Day, 10/16), exceeding last year’s all-time record of $6,345!
Special thanks go to all 13 walkers and Youth Group who tirelessly reached out to families, friends, neighbors and co-workers for support. Close to 90 people (65 out of those from outside of our church congregation) generously responded. Our Youth Group also did a fantastic job with their short video promoting their walk and they raised $1,280! As of this writing, FPC Matawan team has raised the second highest donation among Red Bank CROP Walker groups. Our Matawan Community Food Pantry also received a van full of food donations from the organizer on Walk Day.
This is a very heart-warming testament of your love, empathy, and care in helping others. The money donation will help Church World Service in its world-wide hunger fighting and self-development programs but a portion of the Red Bank CROP Walk’s monetary collection also will be redistributed back to 14 local food pantries including our own Matawan Community Food Pantry.
