ANNOUNCEMENTS

Sunday's service will be held in the Sanctuary with social distancing, masks and, sadly, no congregational singing. In addition, the services WILL CONTINUE be livestreamed on on our Church Facebook Page and Zoom. During the Livestream, you can ask questions, comment, and submit prayer requests. If you need help, the Deacons are providing technical support. We look forward to worshiping with you in person and on line!

For the next two months, we’ll be doing a series of lay-led services on the parables. Please be sure to join us and to support your fellow church members as we continue our search for a new pastor.

Sunday School Registration The Christian Education Commission and the Worship and Music Commission is working closely together to make sure that our return to the building is the safest experience for everyone. The 21st Annual SHANTI (Peace) Event, “The Silent Sting of Systemic Racism,” will be presented on Zoom Oct. 3 from 3p.m.-5p.m. by the Monmouth Center for World Religions and Ethical Thought. Kerwin Webb, Associate Pastor of the Second Baptist Church of Asbury Park, will share the different ways that he has experienced systemic racism and point out the need for each of us to closely examine the words, contexts, and effects of our institutions. Check the flyer for details or contact Joe Ritacco at JRitacco@comcast.net. Joe can also provide information on the Center's virtual annual meeting on Monday, Sept. 21, "400 years of African American History."

WORSHIP AND OUTREACH

Worship is at the heart of our life as a congregation. From September through early June, we worship at 9:00 and 10:30 a.m. each Sunday, as well as on special occasions such as Easter and Christmas. In the summer, we have one service at 9:30 a.m. in our air-conditioned sanctuary.

Our worship is grounded in the Reformed tradition. Under the direction of our pastor, it regularly involves adult and youth in leadership roles and includes a widely varied and inclusive music program. We seek to involve all worshipers in praying, singing, growing and sharing in a spirit of Christian community.

We have multiple outreach opportunities and a lively Christian Education program. Our capacious building hums with activity and welcomes community activities as well as church-related events.
