The Mission Commission is one of seven commissions under the Session of FPC Matawan. Our goal is to help our Church fulfill three objectives of our Church’s mission statement: Sharing God’s gifts, Exemplifying God’s love, and Seeking justice for all.
Mission Commission currently meets every second Monday evening at 6:30 p.m. and we are always looking for people with a passion for serving the community.

- Mission events and Book Clubs–addressing racism, poverty, and social issues
- Christmas Gift Giving through Love Thy Neighbor
- CROP Hunger Walk–each October
- Blanket Sunday supporting CWS for community rebuilding
- Interfaith Dialogue
- Book studies and tours about race relations
- Black History Month Celebrations and presentations each February
- Juneteenth Community Celebration
- Monetary donations to other local groups for social justice and peace.
