The Rev. Karen Brostrom moved to Keyport after her retirement as a full-time minister of Word and Sacrament. Karen is a native of New Jersey, raised in Bergenfield. She graduated from the University of Delaware and received both an M.A. in Christian Education and M.Div. degree from Princeton Seminary.
She has spent most of her career as an interim minister serving congregations in New Jersey, Maryland, Ohio, Colorado, and Mississippi. Karen has also been Interim Director at Johnsonburg Camp and Conference Center.
Her family includes her son, granddaughter, and the extended family in Ohio. Her sisters live in New Jersey. Karen enjoys needle arts (especially quilting and counted cross stitch), gardening, reading, and visiting friends near and far.
She is thrilled to be a part of the Mission and Ministry of FPC Matawan.
