Sunday, November 20th
The Matawan Community Food Pantry is stocking up for our Thanksgiving distribution. We hope to provide our clients with the ingredients for a Thanksgiving dinner that includes a turkey with all the trimmings, in addition to all the staples we usually give each month. We currently provide food to about 80+ households–seniors, singles adults and families in Aberdeen and Matawan so we would appreciate any donations. We are asking folks to bring some of the “fixin’s’ we need to the Thanksgiving Bounty Sunday service on November 20th. Turkeys or turkey breasts can be left in the freezer in the Fellowship Hall kitchen, clearly marked “Food Pantry” or contact the church office at 732-566-2663 to arrange a specific time to drop them off.
Non-perishables can also be left in the bins outside the Matawan Municipal Building.
The items needed are:
- Turkey or Turkey Breast
- Stuffing
- Mashed Potatoes
- Gravy
- Yams
- Canned Veggies/Soups
- Pancake Mix, Syrup
- Tuna
- Cereal
- Cranberry Sauce
- Canned Fruit
- Pasta Sauce & Pasta
